The Corona pandemic hit us completely out of nowhere this year and brought to light how much we depend on trained personnel and emergency teams. With this in mind, we decided to support a local aid organisation instead of Christmas presents.

As one of the largest employers in the region we are, once again, following the motto “Think global, act local”.

Our donation this year went to the local German Red Cross association of Linz am Rhein e.V., which provides personnel for the emergency rescue team of the Neuwied district. Among this personnel is our very own employee Christian Spitz, a volunteer in both teams. Since the reorganisation of the driving licence classifications and the abolition of compulsory military service all disaster control services are in dire need of people with truck driving licences. Our donation goes toward the procurement of truck driving licences for young people and is meant to alleviate this problem while strengthening voluntary work.

By making this year’s donation, to which you as our customers and business partners have made a valuable contribution, we trust that we are acting in your best interests.
